Join a Vitrolife workshop - Optimising your IVF Success: Embryo Culture, Quality Control & Vitrification

Vitrolife holds several workshops every year, both in Gothenburg, Sweden and Denver, US. The workshop focuses on embryo culture set up and procedures during human IVF, from oocyte retrieval to embryo transfer. Quality Control in IVF and vitrification will also be major subjects during this course, both theoretical and hands-on.

What will you learn?

  • Define the significant changes in physiology and metabolism that a human embryo undergoes during the pre-implantation period.
  • Define the major functions of human embryo culture media and their individual components in order to make a more informed decision regarding choice of culture media.
  • Recognise that the ability to minimise intracellular stress is a significant factor in being able to maintain embryo viability in culture.
  • Know how to use sequential media from Vitrolife, and related procedures, in order to achieve optimal treatment results. Procedures from oocyte retrieval to embryo transfer.
  • Critically evaluate the relevance of a mouse embryo bioassay by understanding its capacities and limitations.
  • Learn how to perform vitrification using the Rapid-i Vitrification System™ from Vitrolife, including hands on experiences.

The workshop is open for anyone interested in ART, but particularly suited for clinical embryologists.
