During her presentation at Vitrolife’s scientific symposium at ESHRE 2011, Dr. Cecilia Sjöblom discussed her daily work in a clinical setting as a lab director at Westmead Fertility Centre in Sydney, Australia.

-Patients are our biggest variable in an IVF-setting, and we can only try to keep constant as much as we can and allow patients to maybe in the future become our only variable, said Dr. Sjöblom. 

-We need to know the variables in order to control them. Understanding your embryos needs and your clinical setting can aid in achieving high consistent pregnancy rates, she concludes.
