Every details makes it easy
EmbryoCath™ - soft, visible and precise
We are excited to introduce EmbryoCath transfer catheter, designed to ensure smooth and precise embryo transfers. EmbryoCath is available in two variants to suit your clinical needs:
EmbryoCath pre-curved with a rounded tulip bulb for easy, gentle insertion.
EmbryoCath straight malleable featuring excellent shape memory.
Precision in every transfer
EmbryoCath is designed for a smooth and precise embryo transfer and is available in to different variants to adapt to your needs. The inner catheter has a soft atraumatic tip and is flexible aiming to minimise trauma. The echo-marking improves visibility on ultrasound.
The pre-curved guide comes in one length and has a rounded tulip bulb to ease the passage through the cervical canal. The straight malleable guide is available in two lengths with associated stylets of corresponding lengths. It has an excellent shape-memory - it stays in the shape needed for a long period of time.
EmbryoCath is free from phthalates, Bisphenol A, and latex, providing safety and peace of mind.

The successful embryo transfer
A full infertility treatment - from stimulation, aspiration, embryo culture, and embryo selection to uterine preparation - is a long process leading up to one important moment: the embryo transfer.
There is currently no standardised procedure for embryo transfer. However, various practices are used worldwide and have been evaluated in multiple studies. Two major reviews examining factors associated with successful embryo transfer found strong evidence supporting ultrasoundguided transfer, the use of a soft, atraumatic catheter, and no bed rest following the procedure.¹, ² Additionally, using a hyaluronan-rich medium, such as EmbryoGlue, can benefit the clinical outcome of the transfer.³
Successful embryo transfer: Why technique and catheter choice matter
While embryo competence remains the primary determinant of IVF success, optimising the transfer procedure can further enhance outcomes. Careful attention to uterine health, evidence-based transfer techniques, and thoughtful catheter selection can help support a smooth, atraumatic, and precise embryo transfer, ultimately creating the best possible conditions for implantation.
