A pH stable medium, after incubation in CO2, to support oocytes and embryos outside of the incubator.
Description MOPS buffered medium containing human serum albumin.
Purpose Medium for handling and manipulating oocytes and embryos in ambient atmosphere.
Application For use after equilibration at +37°C and 6 % CO2.
Storage Store dark at +2 to +8°C.

MOPS buffered handling medium
G-GAMETE is a handling medium for oocytes and embryos and should be equilibrated in the incubator the same way as culture media, making it a suitable solution when preparing dishes the day before use.
G-GAMETE has the same constituents as G-MOPS™ PLUS but with a different ratio of MOPS and bicarbonate to function after equilibration in the incubator. G-GAMETE also contains human serum albumin.
Amino acids protect the embryo
Amino acids have a protective role that help the embryo to keep homeostasis. This is of particular importance during early stages of development, before the formation of the transporting epithelium.
Media with amino acids contribute to minimising intracellular stress. By having amino acids in the media the gametes and embryos are better protected against variations in the environment.
