Aseptic and closed system

Rapid-i Vitrification System is an aseptic and closed system removing the concerns regarding potential contamination from liquid nitrogen during transport and storage.

As the oocytes or embryos do not come in direct contact with liquid nitrogen, there is no need to sterilise liquid nitrogen. After vitrification, the RapidStraw is ultrasonically sealed providing safe storage.

Rapid-i Vitrification System is renowned for its ease of use. The method, media, device and accessories support a smooth workflow.

Rapid-i Kit

Vitrification device intended to be used to contain, vitrify and maintain embryos and/or oocytes.

Loading the Rapid-i is easy. Oocytes or embryos are held by surface tension in a standardised volume of a micro-droplet. When warming, oocytes or embryos come off easily into the warming solution as they do not adhere to the device.

To simplify identification and cryostorage management, the RapidStraws are available with five different colour codes; blue, green, red, yellow and transparent.

The SmartBox keeps straws in place during vitrification, sealing and opening. It increases working comfort and reduces the risk of unintentional warming. The top slots and magnetic holders keep RapidStraws upright and in order.

Numerous publications show that Rapid-i Vitrification System provides excellent outcomes after vitrification of all stages, from oocytes to blastocysts. Independent published studies show that Rapid-i Vitrification System performs equally well as open vitrification systems and provides safe storage. 1,2

Keep your embryos safe with the help of B:safe

A 24/7 monitoring trolley for liquid nitrogen storage tanks. Via its integrated balance, B:safe is able to dynamically follow and document the filling level of a storage tank and analyse liquid nitrogen consumption as a benchmark of the tank´s performance. Adding a second layer of safety, a temperature sensor continuously monitors the temperature of the tank´s outer shell and will promptly detect cooling in case of vacuum failure.
