The POB™ needle is designed for application of local anaesthetics prior to transvaginal oocyte retrieval. With the pre-ovarian block (POB) technique, local anaesthetic is deposited with ultrasound guidance in an optimal place in the vaginal wall near the ovary. The follicle aspiration needle is then introduced at the site of the deposited anaesthetic. The needle is equipped with a luer-lock for connecting a syringe.
