Working together with our needles
The vacuum pump tubings, transducer covers and transmission gel have all been developed to be used with our oocyte retrieval needles and gynaecological needles.
Vacuum pump tubings to suit your choice of pump
The Vacuum Pump Tubing is intended for the connection between the needle and the vacuum pump during oocyte pick up and works as a natural extension between all Vitrolife follicle aspiration sets and most medical vacuum pumps on the market.
All vacuum pump tubings come with a male luer lock connection in one end, designed for connection to the needle. The opposite end is equipped with one of the following options:
- Male luer lock hydrophobic filter connection
- Female luer lock connection
- Open end
Individually packed gel
Vitrolife sterile ultrasound transmission gel is the ultimate combination of safety, performance and convenience.
The gel is sterile and comes in a convenient storage carton which gives quick access to 50 pouches, 20 g each.
Individually wrapped latex-free covers
The cover comes in three different lengths, to suit different ultrasound transducers. They are made of polyethylene and designed with a welded seam along its lenghts to inhibit accidental breakage.
Each cover is individually wrapped and packaged in a sterile barrier with two cable clips. The covers are e-beam sterilised.
Keep safe and ensure sterility
Are you using the proper products during your ultrasound procedures? One of the key tools is the maintenance of sterility of surgical areas and medical instruments and products. Sterility and its maintenance, together with the prevention of cross-infection, are at the top of any list of critical factors in patient care. In ultrasound procedures when in contact with mucous membranes, dedicated transducer covers should be used, and sterile gel should be used inside and outside covers.
Oocyte retrieval in assisted reproduction is considered a surgical procedure.
